Principal Embedded Software Engineer
Now needed in Bristol contributing to architecture, design, and implementation of safety-critical embedded software. This role involves technical leadership within projects, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring high standards of software quality and compliance with safety standards.
Salary to £75k plus benefits, hybrid working, visa support
About the Role
I am seeking an experienced Principal Embedded Engineer with 10 years plus expertise in the following areas:

- Strong experience in embedded systems design and development.
- Proficiency in C and assembler.
- Strong experience with Real-Time Operating Systems.
- Familiarity with safety-critical software development standards (e.g., IEC 61508, DO 178B/C, ISO26262, IEC 62304).
- Experience in software development within a controlled development environment.
- Low-level embedded engineering experience (e.g., Cortex M3, M4, A7).
- Networking protocols.
- Embedded software security and multicore device development.
- Experience in software requirements and configuration management.
- Experience in managing projects, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
