About The Role

Bring innovative ideas from concept to reality. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Design Engineer to take ownership of the entire product development journey, from interpreting customer requirements and developing innovative design concepts through to manufacture and installation. You'll work on technically challenging projects, apply advanced engineering principles, and act as the focal point for FEA and CFD analysis to deliver high-performance solutions. If you enjoy solving complex engineering problems, collaborating with customers and colleagues, and seeing your designs come to life, this role offers the chance to make a real impact.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Analyse products to ensure integrity of design and performance specifications are met.
  • Aerospace Approval signatory – See individual skills matrix for applicable categories.
  • Establish/perform FEA/CFD techniques applicable to PFG products, provide technical support to other users.
  • Deputise for the Engineering Manager
  • Monitor and control unit and project costs to meet profit targets and agreed budgets
  • Conduct/participate in design reviews during project lifetime.
  • Provide technical support to sales/applications both internally and externally at the customers site.
  • Provide Technical support to Production & Quality for MRB decisions.
  • Perform Engineering Contract Review

Qualifications/Training Required

  • Relevant mechanical engineering experience including a sound knowledge of fluid mechanics and pressure systems.
  • Competent in the use of Autodesk CFD
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering
