Location
Barrow-in-Furness or Filton. Hybrid – 2 days onsite every second week

Job Description
You’ll use your knowledge in Integration, Verification and Validation (IV&V) to shape and develop the Integration IV&V capability for highly complex integrated systems within the SSN AUKUS Platform Complex Systems domain. You'll oversee the delivery of the Integration capabilities and infrastructure for Platform Complex Systems. Establishing an infrastructure to enable successful design proving and integration for highly complex integrated systems and their interfaces to support the Integration phase of the Systems Engineering V-Model. Ensure that early Integration, Verification and Validation can be conducted to substantiate and provide evidence for system and subsystem integrated design.
Core duties
- You will apply Control System experience to support design, integration and delivery of complex systems.
- Analyse and test data interfaces to understand ensure control system compatibility and integration.
- Apply your experience to develop off boat integration test infrastructure for Platform Complex Systems including third party interface testing.
- Apply your experience to develop a Sim/Stim Plant environment and the development and integration to applicable system reference set.
- Demonstrate considerable understanding of the full lifecycle, from requirements definition through to integration and acceptance.
- You produce clear technical documentation and apply Control Systems knowledge to support engineering strategies and assurance.

Essential Skills
- You hold a BEng (Hons) / MEng or equivalent experience in an engineering discipline or in Control & Instrumentation.
- You can show robust understanding of the full engineering lifecycle.
- You will possess knowledge in the following areas: control systems, system integration and fieldbus technologies.
- Exposure to facilities development from concept through to building and commissioning.
The SSNA - Platform Complex Systems Team (PCS IV&V)
The PCS IV&V team is responsible for Delivering the enabling Infrastructure to enable all future PCS IV&V activities on SSN AUKUS. The team responsibilities are to include facilities an infrastructure establishment, IV&V framework and ways of working, toolsets selection, test rig development as well as the production of IV&V evidence to substantiate or feedback into the design.
The PCS IV&V team is a growing, high-impact engineering function delivering IV&V and system integration across the SSNA Platform Complex Systems programme. Working across disciplines, the team drives collaboration, resolves intricate tasks and shapes new capabilities—offering excellent development, cross-programme exposure and considerable support toward chartership.
