You’ll be comfortable working across different types of projects, providing technical leadership and adapting to different engineering challenges.

  • Lead project teams to deliver civil and structural designs to agreed cost, programme, and quality requirements.
  • Ensure projects have the appropriate skills, resources, and technical expertise in place.
  • Provide technical direction and oversight throughout project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with business quality systems, technical standards, and assurance processes.
  • Support the implementation of business and project changes as directed by the Director or Associate Engineer.
  • Contribute to the development of engineers through technical guidance, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.

Essential

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
  • Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer, with CEng MICE or MIStructE status.

    • Earthworks and site investigations.
    • Highways, minor roads, and bridge design.
  • Specialist knowledge or sector experience in areas such as nuclear, seismic, public sector, contaminated land, ground improvement, highways, rail, defence, or life sciences.
  • A proven track record of successful project delivery and positive client relationships.
  • Experience delivering significant projects within one or more of the sectors we operate in.
  • Strong understanding of technical standards, quality requirements, and assurance processes.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within fully integrated, multidisciplinary design teams.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
