Senior Principal Frontend Engineer (Trading Platform) – Remote

This is a remote position.

A leading non-custodial trading and data platform, pushing the boundaries of on-chain trading technology, is hiring a Principal Engineer to join the team.

As the Principal Frontend Engineer, you’ll:

  • Be a subject matter expert in building highly performant, real-time, interactive frontends for trading-focused web apps
  • Play a key role in shaping the Trading product as the Founders and team rely on your Founder / First Engineer experience to drive growth
  • Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, collaborating with top-tier engineers and seeing your work deployed to tens of thousands of users rapidly

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Development

  • Architect, build, and maintain a responsive, user-centric web app using:
    • React / NextJS
    • TypeScript
    • Jotai
  • Lead the design and implementation of trading-specific UI/UX

Requirements

Experience & Technical Skills

  • Founder / First Engineer or Lead role in a highly scalable DeFi project
  • Proven expertise in:
    • React / NextJS
    • TypeScript
    • Jotai
  • Industry-specific experience:
    • Ownership & development of a real-time, high-performance trading frontend
    • Hands-on experience with on-chain trading platforms
  • Problem-solving mindset:
    • Independent, self-motivated with a proactive approach
    • Ability to enable strategic decisions in product-technical discussions

Soft Skills & Attributes

  • Strong leadership experience in driving frontend technical and design roadmaps
  • Clear communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Passion for DeFi—must understand cryptocurrency markets, trends, and trading ecosystems
  • Deep responsibility & pride in product delivery (working with breakneck speed is required)

Nice-to-Haves

  • Active trading experience, particularly with Solana or other EVM-compatible chains
  • Open-source contributions to blockchain trading tools
