Job Description
Ready to be the person who turns numbers into decisions?
At EDF, we're looking for an experienced finance professional who loves seeing the bigger picture behind the data. You'll be at the heart of our Customers Finance team, helping senior leaders understand performance, shape strategy, and make decisions that support both our business and Britain's journey to net zero.
This is a role where your expertise will be valued, your insights will be heard, and your work will influence decisions at the highest levels. Because at EDF, Success is Personal.
The Opportunity
As a Principal Financial Reporting Accountant, you'll play a key role in ensuring our financial reporting is accurate, insightful, and supports effective decision-making across the business. Working within our Financial Control & Reporting team, you'll lead the production of performance reporting, forecasting, budgeting and regulatory submissions, while partnering with senior stakeholders across Finance and the wider business.
You'll be the trusted expert helping leaders understand what the numbers are saying today, and what they could mean tomorrow. Whether you're consolidating financial results, leading planning cycles, supporting regulatory reporting, or driving improvements in reporting processes, you'll have a genuine impact on how the business operates.
You'll join us on a salary starting from £60,000 per annum, with the potential for an annual bonus. This is a hybrid role ideally based in London, working from our Nova North office up to one day per week.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
