Principal Fire Engineer – Building Control Location: Flexible Across the UK Salary: Competitive + car allowance £4,800 per annum + fantastic benefits

🔥 What You’ll Be Doing

Leading fire strategy and building control assessments for complex, high‑risk and high‑value new build and conversion projects Using specialist software to assess Qualitative Design Reviews (QDRs), fire strategies and CFD modelling Working closely with developers, builders and professional advisors from concept to completion to ensure proposals meet all relevant regulations and standards Delivering technical presentations to internal and external audiences Supporting the training, coaching and mentoring of colleagues Managing your own workload to meet service level expectations Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety requirements

🔍 What We’re Looking For We’re seeking an expert Fire Engineer, ideally with (or working towards) membership of the Institute of Fire Engineers. You will have:

Deep knowledge of fire engineering, particularly smoke control solutions Strong familiarity with Smoke Control Association guidance and relevant British Standards Excellent verbal and written communication skills A proactive, self‑motivated approach and a willingness to contribute to the development of the role A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
