Salary: GBP45,000 - GBP55,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Principal Geoenvironmental Consultant to join a growing environmental team in Nottingham. This role would suit an experienced geoenvironmental professional looking to take the next step in their career, working on a variety of interesting and technically challenging projects.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in contaminated land, ground investigations, and environmental consultancy. You will be responsible for managing projects, providing technical expertise, supporting junior members of the team, and helping to deliver high-quality solutions for a range of clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing geoenvironmental projects from inception through to completion
  • Leading Phase 1 desk studies, ground investigations, contaminated land assessments, and remediation projects
  • Preparing and reviewing technical reports, including factual and interpretative reports
  • Developing conceptual site models and assessing environmental risks
  • Managing site works, including contractor supervision and client liaison
  • Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members
  • Building strong relationships with clients and supporting business development activities

Requirements

  • Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Significant experience within geoenvironmental consultancy
  • Strong knowledge of contaminated land assessment and remediation
  • Experience managing projects and mentoring junior staff
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills
  • Full UK driving licence
