GBP45,000 to GBP65,000 per Annum

We're working with a well-established and growing consultancy to recruit a Principal Geotechnical Engineer for its ground investigation and design team in Birmingham.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Principal Geotechnical Engineer looking to take a leading role across a varied portfolio of UK projects. You'll combine technical expertise with project leadership, client engagement and the opportunity to mentor and develop colleagues.

The Principal Geotechnical Engineer will contribute to ground investigation strategies, interpretation of ground data, geotechnical assessments, reporting and design. You'll work collaboratively with specialists across investigation and consulting, providing practical engineering solutions and helping clients manage ground-related risk.

We're looking for a technically strong Principal Geotechnical Engineer with sound commercial awareness and experience leading projects and supporting junior engineers. Chartered status, or a clear route towards chartership, would be beneficial.

Candidate Requirements

  • Live within a commutable distance of Birmingham and/or Wolverhampton
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Full Right to work in the UK permanently
  • Experience in Ground Investigation and design elements, e.g. Slopes and retaining walls
  • Relevant academic background
