Are you an experienced Geotechnical Engineer looking for the next step in your career, with a clear pathway to Associate?

We are working with a well-established multidisciplinary consultancy in Central London who are looking to appoint a Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join their growing team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is technically strong, commercially aware and looking to take on greater responsibility across projects, clients and the wider team.

The Role

  • Managing and delivering a range of geotechnical projects from investigation through to design
  • Providing technical input and advice across a variety of building and infrastructure projects
  • Undertaking and reviewing geotechnical analysis and design
  • Preparing technical reports, specifications and fee proposals
  • Liaising with clients, contractors and other consultants
  • Managing project budgets, programmes and deliverables
  • Supporting business development and developing existing client relationships
  • Mentoring and supporting junior members of the team
  • Taking a lead role within the geotechnical team, with a clear pathway to Associate

About You

  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geology or a related discipline
  • Strong experience within a geotechnical consultancy environment
  • Chartered or working towards Chartership
  • Strong technical knowledge across ground investigation, foundations and geotechnical design
  • Confident managing projects and communicating with clients
  • Commercially minded with an interest in developing client relationships
  • Experience mentoring or managing junior engineers would be beneficial
