The opportunity
We are seeking a highly experienced, commercially minded Principal Global HR Business Partner to join our Global HRBP team at a pivotal stage in Envision Pharma Group's growth and transformation journey. This is a senior individual-contributor role and a close strategic partner to the Director, Global HRBP.
The Principal HRBP helps translate the enterprise HRBP and Talent Management operating model into consistent, high-quality execution, bringing deep HR expertise, business acumen, and data-led insight to complex business priorities.
Role responsibilities
- Support the Director in translating enterprise priorities into coordinated HRBP plans, then lead complex transformation, organization design, and strategic workforce planning through implementation.
- Act as the escalation point for the most complex, sensitive, or cross-border employee relations matters, aligning the Director, People Services, and Legal on risk-aware recommendations.
- Partner with senior leaders to translate agreed enterprise people priorities into practical business plans, providing constructive challenge within the direction set by the Director, Global HRBP.
- Integrate people data and commercial insight to surface trends, risks, and opportunities and provide evidence-based recommendations to the Director and business leaders.
- Embed clear HRBP role boundaries and ways of working, including triaging routine and transactional activity to People Services to enable the HRBP function to focus on strategic priorities, including workforce planning, organization design, succession, and leader coaching.
- Lead coordinated execution of enterprise people and talent programs across assigned client groups, ensuring HRBPs deliver performance, compensation, talent review, succession, engagement, and development activity consistently within the frameworks established by the Director and Talent Management.
- Coach and upskill Senior HRBPs and other HR colleagues, building cross-trained capability, consistency, and resilient UK and US coverage.
- Champion Envision's values of Excellence, People, and Growth, role-modelling the judgement, partnership, and accountability expected of a Principal HRBP.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
