Principal HSE Engineer – LNG & Onshore Low Carbon Fuel Projects
Job Overview
The Principal HSE Engineer is responsible for delivering and providing technical authority in process safety engineering, specialising in LNG and onshore low carbon fuel projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading hazard identification, risk assessment, and consequence evaluation activities.
- Ensuring major accident hazards are systematically identified, understood, and addressed through risk-informed design.
- Driving the consistent application of process safety methodologies and ensuring study outputs are robust, defensible, and effectively integrated into engineering decisions.
- Supporting environmental assessments as a complementary discipline to enable safe, compliant, and responsible project delivery.

About the Role
This position will require: ✔ Deep expertise in LNG and low-carbon projects, with a focus on process safety engineering (PSA). ✔ Strong technical influence to drive HSE excellence in complex project environments. ✔ Ability to apply advanced risk assessment techniques and translate complex findings into actionable engineering decisions. ✔ Environmental safety alignment to ensure projects meet regulatory and sustainability objectives.
