Key Notes
Advise major transport programmes on information governance, including data protection, information requests, and data sharing. The permanent role pays £47,025 a year for 37 hours a week, with part-time or job-share requests considered. What You'll Work On
- Advise transport officers on data protection, FOI and EIR requests, including exemptions and the public interest test.
- Develop governance policies and data-sharing controls for major transport programmes, new systems, and collections of personal information.
- Investigate serious data incidents and coordinate escalation, regulatory correspondence, and mitigation with the Information Governance Manager and information owners.

Qualification: A degree or equivalent relevant experience in data protection or information governance, plus a relevant professional qualification or training.
Experience: Practical experience in a similar governance role and in projects or large programmes.
Domain: Detailed knowledge of data protection law, FOI, transparency, and records management.
Technical: Understanding of information security and compliance in Microsoft 365.
