As a Principal Investigator Consultant, you will lead a groundbreaking decentralized study outside the US, monitoring infant growth with the latest technology and clinical insights—helping shape the future of pediatric nutrition and medicine.
Overview
This contract offers an exciting opportunity to spearhead a first-of-its-kind organic whole milk infant formula study in the UK. Working closely with global teams, you’ll oversee all medical and regulatory aspects, ensuring the safety and well-being of young participants while advancing scientific understanding. With a flexible schedule, this role is ideal for a dedicated pediatrician or experienced MD committed to making a meaningful difference.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and supervise a decentralized clinical trial focused on infant growth and nutrition monitoring.
- Conduct and review study activities, including telehealth consent and assessments, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Obtain ethics approval and maintain continuous oversight of participant safety and data integrity.
- Provide expert input on study protocol design, clinical development plans, and regulatory documents.
- Engage with US-based study partners weekly to coordinate logistics, schedules, budgets, and troubleshoot challenges.
- Support the study’s remote activities, including oversight of delegated personnel, vendors, and healthcare providers.
- Present findings at investigator meetings or related stakeholder sessions as needed.

Must-Have Requirements
- Active, unrestricted medical license in the UK.
- Preferably, a Pediatrician or a General Medicine MD with pediatric experience.
- 3-5 years of principal investigator experience in clinical research.
- Familiarity with infant milestones, infant formula, and growth monitoring using WHO growth charts for children under 2 years.
- Comfort with telehealth technologies, plotting growth curves, and understanding percentiles.
- Ability to engage flexibly with US-based teams on timing, especially for afternoon/evening hours.

Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with decentralized or remote clinical trials.
- Knowledge of pediatric gastrointestinal or growth-related issues.
