Shape the Future of Consultant Performance at Evolution
We're looking for a commercially credible Principal L&D Consultant to take ownership of how consultants are developed across Evolution.
This isn't a traditional L&D role.
You'll be responsible for onboarding new consultants, delivering consultative sales training, coaching experienced recruiters, improving performance standards and helping managers develop higher-performing teams.
If you've built your credibility in recruitment, sales, training or coaching and still love the commercial side of the industry, this is an opportunity to have a genuine impact on how people perform and progress.
What You'll Be Doing
- Owning our onboarding programme from day one through to consultant readiness
- Designing and delivering engaging classroom, virtual and practical training
- Embedding consultative sales methodologies into everyday recruitment behaviours
- Running regular one-to-one coaching sessions with consultants across the business
- Listening to calls, analysing performance trends and providing practical feedback
- Supporting consultants with business development, opportunity progression, account development and stakeholder engagement
- Working closely with Directors and Managers to improve coaching standards and consultant capability
- Creating development programmes, workshops and learning resources that drive measurable performance improvement
- Supporting key initiatives including the Million Biller Pathway and future consultant development programmes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
