MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in Education, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience with instructional design principles and processes.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and business leadership stakeholders.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 7 years of experience in technical instructional design or curriculum development for product, or sales-based organizations.
- Experience in leveraging AI tools (e.g., Gemini, NotebookLM, AI Studio) and low-code/natural language environments.
- Experience in high-velocity production of engaging, and multimodal learning using creative tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Google Vids).
- Experience within the Google Ads ecosystem (Search and AI, YouTube, or Measurement).
- Ability to partner with senior leaders (Director/VP+) to adopt instructional strategies and stakeholders through ambiguous topics and integrate new technology.
- Ability to translate learning into the Google Ads ecosystem that solve specific customer business problems.
ABOUT THE JOB
The Product Learning Experiences (PLX) team is a product learning development team within the Global Learning Experiences (GLX) team of GBOEdu. PLX is product-focused but topics include related skills to support sellers’ proficiency in competitively selling Google Ads products to enable customers to meet their business goals. The PLX team is responsible for strategic benchmarking of what product expertise is needed for sellers, and owns the learning agenda and execution for products across all areas. The team defines the bar and supporting frameworks to show what is expected for product proficiency, often in combination with other skills and knowledge.

As the YouTube+ PLX Principal Lead, you will serve as a strategic point of contact for Global and Regional product-focused GPS and GTM teams. In this role, you will provide thought leadership to translate product roadmaps into sales-ready tactical initiatives that directly address business-blocking skill gaps across sales teams.
You will collaborate with GTM and Sales stakeholders to design an agile, modular, and globally scalable curriculum. This curriculum empowers sellers to exceed in knowledge and skills within the rapidly evolving Ads ecosystem. Additionally, this role works closely with peers across GLX and GBOedu to advance selected local and regional learning objectives, and build ways of scaling content across more audiences.
You will also innovate learning design and delivery mechanisms by leveraging scalable, AI-native solutions. The goal is to evolve beyond traditional training, acting as a strategic partner that drives success for both customers and Google. To that end, you will influence at the Director+ level to ensure product fluency standards align with Google’s commercial goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Merge learning expertise with the best and most strategic inputs from subject matter experts (SME).
- Strategically drive the infusion of AI as the default build mechanism with the team, to compress development cycles from months to weeks.
- Oversee the rapid production of standardized and tailorable product assets, i.e., one-sheeters, videos, Yoodlis, etc., leveraging the right modalities.
- Ensure core global modules are built for easy reuse while allowing regional teams to add the local context needed to close agreements.
- Ensure learning and sharing about the use of AI to simplify work and focus time on higher-value activities, i.e., Agentic Workflows, Prompt Engineering, and AI-Native Asset Development. Coach junior team members on the use of AI to simplify work and maintain quality of outputs.
SALARY
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
- Ireland: €142,000 - €145,000 (EUR) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits
- US: $171,000 - $247,000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits
