Principal Marketing Analytics Manager (Marketing Effectiveness)
Location
London (Hybrid – 2 days per week in the office)
Salary
Up to £115,000 + Bonus

The Data Gals is partnering with an established global data science consultancy that helps some of the world's leading consumer brands make better commercial and marketing decisions through advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and marketing effectiveness solutions.
We are looking for an experienced Principal Marketing Science Manager to lead strategic client engagements, oversee high performing analytics teams, and drive commercial growth across a portfolio of enterprise clients.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM), marketing effectiveness, econometrics, or advanced marketing analytics who enjoys combining technical expertise, client leadership, and people management.
You'll lead multiple strategic client programmes, partnering with senior stakeholders to solve complex business challenges using advanced analytics and marketing measurement. Alongside leading client engagements, you'll mentor and develop consulting teams, contribute to business growth, and help shape best practice across the wider analytics function.
Responsibilities
Client & Programme Leadership
- Lead multiple strategic client engagements across a portfolio of enterprise accounts.
- Build long term relationships with senior client stakeholders.
- Oversee the delivery of high quality marketing effectiveness and measurement projects.
- Translate complex analytical outputs into clear commercial recommendations for executive audiences.
- Guide clients on marketing investment, budget allocation, audience strategy and campaign optimisation.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a consistently high standard.

Marketing Effectiveness & Advanced Analytics
- Deliver projects focused on Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM), econometrics, attribution and marketing effectiveness.
- Apply advanced statistical techniques to solve commercial business problems.
- Interpret large and complex datasets to generate actionable insights.
- Work closely with technical teams to ensure robust modelling approaches and data quality.
- Present findings in a commercially meaningful way to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Leadership & People Development
- Lead, mentor and develop consultants and analytics professionals.
- Conduct performance reviews, coaching sessions and career development conversations.
- Support recruitment, onboarding and resource planning.
- Foster a collaborative, high performing team culture.
- Help build future leaders through mentoring and knowledge sharing.

Commercial Growth
- Support proposals, client pitches and new business opportunities.
- Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships.
- Contribute to practice development and thought leadership within marketing analytics.
- Represent the consultancy at industry events where appropriate.
What We're Looking For
Essential Experience
- 10+ years' experience in Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM), marketing effectiveness, econometrics or advanced marketing analytics.
- Previous experience working within a consultancy or client facing analytics environment.
- Strong commercial understanding of marketing measurement and ROI optimisation.
- Experience leading multiple client programmes simultaneously.
- Proven people management and leadership experience.
- Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of:
- Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM), Econometrics, Regression modelling, Bayesian methodologies, Statistical analysis
- Hands-on experience with:
- Python, SQL, Excel
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, Databricks or similar would be beneficial.
