Company Description

JMAN Group is a fast-growing data engineering & data science consultancy. We work primarily with Private Equity Funds and their Portfolio Companies to create commercial value using Data & Artificial Intelligence. In addition, we also work with growth businesses, large corporates, multinationals, and charities.

We are headquartered in London with Offices in New York, London, and Chennai. Our team of over 650 people is a unique blend of individuals with skills across commercial consulting, data science, and software engineering.

We were founded by cousins Anush Newman (Co-founder & CEO) and Leo Valan (Co-founder & CTO) and have grown rapidly since 2019. In May 2023, we took a minority investment from Baird Capital and in January 2024, we opened an office in New York with the ambition of growing our US business to be as large as, if not bigger than, our European business by 2027.

Position

JMAN is looking for a commercially minded leader to drive client growth, develop strategic partnerships, and help shape the future direction of our business. This role is suited to an ambitious leader who combines commercial acumen with exceptional relationship-building skills. You'll have a proven ability to grow accounts, develop strategic partnerships, and deliver business outcomes, whether your background is in consulting, private equity, commercial strategy, analytics, transformation, financial services, or a high-growth corporate environment. As a Principal, you will be responsible for growing key client accounts, developing new business opportunities, overseeing delivery excellence, and mentoring the next generation of leaders. You will work closely with senior executives, both internally and externally, helping clients solve strategic challenges and unlock greater value from data, technology, and analytics.

Requirements

Commercial Leadership & Growth

  • The primary focus of this role is driving business growth and building lasting client relationships.
  • Develop and grow strategic client partnerships.
  • Identify, shape, and convert new commercial opportunities.
  • Lead growth conversations with senior stakeholders and executive teams.
  • Support revenue generation through account expansion, cross-selling, and upselling.
  • Contribute to market positioning, thought leadership, and business development initiatives.
  • Lead commercial discussions, proposals, and contract negotiations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
