Senior Manager – Payment Network Development & Oversight
Reporting to: Director, Network Development & Oversight
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager – Network Development & Oversight to support the continued evolution and optimization of our international payment's infrastructure.
This role will play a key part in executing the firm’s global payments network strategy across banking partnerships, payment rails, routing optimization, pricing analytics, and operational governance. The successful candidate will help drive payment efficiency, resiliency, scalability, and commercial performance across a complex global network operating across multiple currencies and jurisdictions.
Working closely with Treasury, Product, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Operations, and Commercial teams, this individual will contribute to strategic initiatives focused on payment infrastructure modernization, partner optimization, network expansion, and emerging payment capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
Payments Network Strategy & Optimization
- Support execution and optimization of the global payments network strategy across Wires, SWIFT, ACH, RTP/Faster Payments, Cards, Wallets, and alternative payment methods.
- Identify opportunities to improve routing efficiency, reduce payment costs, enhance STP rates, and optimize network performance across currencies and geographies.
- Support onboarding of new payment rails, banking partners, and payment infrastructure capabilities.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging payment technologies to support network modernization initiatives.

Bank & Payment Partner Management
- Manage and strengthen relationships with global banking partners, PSPs, payment schemes, and fintech providers.
- Assist with commercial discussions relating to pricing, service levels, operational performance, and payment capabilities.
- Monitor partner performance against SLAs, KPIs, and operational standards.
- Support governance and oversight across bank accounts, payment partners, and network documentation.
Pricing, Analytics & Reporting
- Produce reporting and analytics on payment volumes, routing performance, pricing economics, partner KPIs, operational metrics, and network utilization.
- Support pricing analysis and payment cost optimization initiatives across payment rails and regions.
- Deliver data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making and commercial negotiations.
Risk, Compliance & Governance
- Partner with Risk, Compliance, and Legal teams to support AML, sanctions, regulatory, and payment scheme requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Support governance, controls, audit activities, and remediation initiatives relating to payment operations and network infrastructure.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulatory expectations impacting payment flows.
Technology & Strategic Initiatives

- Collaborate with Product and Technology teams on payment infrastructure enhancements, integrations, API-driven capabilities, and modernization initiatives.
- Support strategic projects relating to network expansion, operational resilience, payment innovation, and infrastructure transformation initiatives.
- Contribute to scalable and modular payment infrastructure solutions supporting future growth.
Requirements
- 6–9 years of experience within Payments, Treasury, Banking, Fintech, or broader Financial Services environments.
- Strong understanding of global payment rails and infrastructure including SWIFT, ACH, RTP/Faster Payments, Cards, Wallets, and alternative payment solutions.
- Experience working with global banks, PSPs, payment schemes, or fintech providers within multi-region and multi-currency environments.
- Strong understanding of payment operations, routing logic, payment economics, and network optimization principles.
- Strong analytical and commercial mindset with experience leveraging data to drive operational and strategic decision-making.
- Familiarity with AML, sanctions, regulatory frameworks, and payment scheme governance requirements.
- Experience supporting vendor negotiations, pricing analysis, or cost optimization initiatives is advantageous.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work cross-functionally across technical and business teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex operational insights into actionable recommendations.
