Senior Planner & Principal Planner - Major Infrastructure & Consents

Central London | Two Hires

PropSource Consulting has partnered with a specialist infrastructure consultancy in Central London that is continuing to grow its Consents Advisory team.

They are now looking to appoint an experienced Senior Planner and Principal Planner to work across some of the UK’s largest and most complex infrastructure projects.

Why consider it?

A major attraction is the opportunity to work directly alongside one of the strongest and most experienced hands-on leadership teams in the UK DCO market.

These are senior leaders who remain heavily involved in project delivery, client advice, and consenting strategy, providing an excellent environment for someone who wants to develop their major projects expertise rather than simply sit within a large delivery team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Who are they looking for?

Planning experience is preferred, but they are open-minded on background where someone has strong major infrastructure consenting experience.

DCO experience is highly desirable, although it is not an absolute requirement. They will consider people who have worked on other complex major projects and consenting regimes.
