Looking for a Platform Engineering role where you can take genuine ownership of the platform, solve meaningful technical challenges and work for a company making a real difference to people’s lives? Well, this could be perfect for you...

This is an opportunity where you could be joining a high growth company tackling a very real problem in today's society, around financial accessibility and helping more people build a more secure financial future. The product is already proven and the business is scaling quickly, so they’re now looking for a senior engineer, like you, to take real ownership of the platform and help shape what comes next.

You’ll own the platform across Azure and AWS, with a strong focus on Azure, helping shape the strategy as the business grows. It’s a hands on role covering platform engineering, resilience, security, scalability, and architecture, with plenty of scope to improve how things are built and run. You’ll be trusted to bring your own ideas and make decisions, rather than simply working through someone else’s roadmap. Yes, true autonomy here!

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

This is a genuine player-manager role, senior enough to influence strategy, but technical enough to be hands on daily. You’ll report into the CTO and work closely with the Head of Engineering, CISO, and wider technical team, taking ownership of the roadmap and making sure things actually get delivered.

They’re looking for someone with strong Azure experience and a solid background across platform engineering, IaC, CI/CD, containers, and orchestration. More importantly, you’ll be someone who enjoys ownership, gets stuck into problems, and is comfortable working autonomously in a fast moving environment.

In return, you’ll get real influence, plenty of technical freedom, and the chance to shape a platform at an exciting stage of its growth, all while working on technology with a genuine purpose behind it.
