Principal Process Engineer

Department: Process engineering

Employment Type: Contract / Temp

Location: Aberdeen

Description

Technical execution and delivery of projects using technical expertise and experience in engineering, design and any validated associated software.

Accountability, roles and responsibilities

The post holder will report to their Engineering Director/Manager for the execution of technical work, supported by the Human Resources Manager for all non-technical aspects of working at Apollo;

  • Communicate with all interested parties on all matters relating to the delivery of a specific job;
  • Performing their day to day duties to the best of their ability and in compliance with Apollo’s HSEQ processes and procedures;
  • Any other delegated content as instructed by under the direction of their line manager.

Duties

  • Manage engineering projects using technical expertise and experience in engineering design and analysis
  • Assist execution of projects using technical expertise and experience in engineering design and analysis as required by Apollo’s clients and all interested parties and under the direction of line manager whilst complying with Apollo’s processes and procedures;
  • Produce engineering proposals, reports and schedules in accordance with Apollo’s project commitments, as required by Apollo’s clients and all interested parties;
  • Providing supervision, mentoring and continuing professional development support to less experienced engineers;
  • Assist business development effort by engaging with clients and potential clients to generate leads and enquiries under the direction of line management;
  • Meet with clients and all interested parties on a project basis for both engineering and business development activities;
  • Work to be performed at the Company's offices in Aberdeen but there may be requirements to work at client offices and/or offshore in occasional circumstances and/or other satellite Apollo offices;

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant engineering experience;
  • Ideally a relevant engineering degree
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
