At Unmind, we're here to create better mental health. We believe mental health should be a source of strength, not struggle – for people, teams, and entire organisations. We combine science, technology, and human care to help companies like Uber, Disney, Major League Baseball, and the NHS improve mental health and drive performance.

Now we’re looking for more brilliant people to help us do it.

🎯 The Role — Principal Product Designer

We’re looking for a Principal Product Designer to shape complex, cross-platform journeys that help members find the right support at the right moment — and help that support create measurable, lasting change.

You’ll bring design-led thinking to roadmap and strategy, own high-impact experiences across our B2B2C platform, and model beautiful, rigorous product design for complex member and client needs.

What you'll do

  • Lead the design of complex journeys across web and mobile, helping members find, understand, and access the right support at the right moment.
  • Shape product strategy and roadmap conversations through research synthesis, analytics, concept exploration, and future-state prototypes — connecting design decisions to measurable member, client, and business outcomes.
  • Produce high-quality design work across web and mobile experiences, including complex workflows, edge cases, error states, and moments where trust, clarity, and human care matter.
  • Explore how AI-enabled, personalised, or data-informed experiences can help members access support in ways that feel useful, transparent, safe, and human.
  • Design clear, actionable client-facing experiences that help organisations understand engagement, outcomes, and the value Unmind is creating.
  • Build lightweight research and learning practices that help teams understand member and client needs, test assumptions quickly, and make better product decisions.
  • Support the evolution of our design system and product patterns at scale, helping strengthen consistency, accessibility, adoption, and craft across the product experience.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

🌟 About You

In the spirit of equity and continuous growth, we invite you to remove education from your CV. Qualifications are not a factor in our decision-making. However, some experience in the following is important for this position:

  • Significant product design experience, ideally in complex B2B2C enterprise SaaS environments.
  • Ability to shape coherent product experiences across web and mobile, balancing system-wide consistency with platform-specific interaction patterns.
  • A portfolio that shows end-to-end ownership: framing ambiguous problems, shaping strategy, and shipping detailed, high-quality product design.
  • Experience in owning or significantly shaping a design system at scale, including governance and adoption.
  • Comfort holding a high bar with autonomy, setting direction as well as following it.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to tell the story of a design decision clearly to engineers, product managers, and executives.
  • Mentorship or elevation of other designers, even without formal management responsibility.
  • Knowledge of using AI thoughtfully as part of the design process, from discovery and synthesis through to prototyping and product delivery.
