The Role
Sedex is seeking an experienced Principal Product Manager, for an 8 month maternity cover, to help shape the future of our product and services.
In this role you will work closely with senior members of Product, Design and Engineering, embed strong ways of working with colleagues across Sedex and provide guidance and mentorship across the wider Product organisation.
You will be responsible for defining a clear strategy and vision for a significant area of our product portfolio, aligned to our mission, and delivering measurable long and short term results for our users and our business. You will also contribute to our overarching Product strategy and operations as part of the Product leadership group.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and continue to adapt the vision for a core product area, ensuring collaboration and buy-in across key stakeholders
- Define, refine and prioritise product opportunities and user needs across a broad area of the product portfolio
- Translate user and business requirements into actionable objectives and set clear goals and outcomes
- Proactively identify and suggest product improvements using data, user insights and market understanding
- Explore and apply innovative approaches, including the use of AI, to solve customer problems and enhance user value
- Contribute to setting, adapting and championing the overall product vision and guardrails for the business
- Develop, implement, promote and adapt best practice Product processes to ensure delivery of strong product outcomes
- Work closely with Design, Engineering, Commercial and other business functions to ensure alignment and high-quality delivery
- Support the ongoing evolution of Product operations and ways of working

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Required Product skills
- A track record of producing business results using robust Product principles and approaches
- Strong practical experience across discovery, portfolio prioritisation, ideation, solution design, iterative development and go-to-market
- Significant experience in proposition Product development
- A strong understanding of how Product aligns with commercial objectives, including developing plans and business cases that demonstrate ROI
- A strong understanding of effective collaboration with technology and design functions to drive high-quality outcomes
Interpersonal skills
- Experience influencing and engaging senior stakeholders
- A collaborative approach to working with cross-functional disciplines and stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to give and receive constructive feedback, with a clear desire to learn from others
- Strong time management and workload prioritisation skills
