Principal Product Manager
The Principal Product Manager is a senior role within Ocean Infinity’s Product team, responsible for defining and driving the product strategy, vision, and roadmap for one or more products within our portfolio. This role sets the strategic direction for product development, balancing commercial objectives, client outcomes, and technical feasibility. The Principal Product Manager serves as the primary bridge between leadership, engineering, and key clients; shaping how products evolve to deliver sustained competitive advantage. The ideal candidate will bring deep product expertise, a track record of scaling products successfully, and exceptional stakeholder influence at all levels.
What you will do! 🚀
- Own and articulate the product vision, strategy, and multi-horizon roadmap for one or more products in our portfolio, securing executive and stakeholder alignment and buy-in.
- Be able to prioritise what to focus on and ensure backlogs and roadmaps across multiple product teams are strategically aligned, clearly defined, and continuously refined.
- Drive stakeholder engagement at senior and executive levels to shape product direction, translating organisational strategy and client insights into high-impact product initiatives.
- Partner closely with Product Designers to frame problems, run discovery, and translate user research and design thinking into validated product decisions.
- Work effectively with Product Design, Engineering, and QA to plan and deliver incremental value against the product roadmap, breaking strategy into releasable increments that reach users early and often.
- Lead product reviews with senior stakeholders, providing strategic recommendations on product direction, investment trade-offs, and priority shifts.
- Define and oversee scope, resource allocation, and delivery timelines across one or more product workstreams.
- Establish and evolve product development processes, frameworks, and best practices across the product organisation to drive consistency and continuous improvement.
- Champion quality and compliance standards across their products, working with QA and engineering leadership to embed robust testing and assurance practices.
- Represent their products to the wider business and executive team, delivering clear narratives on progress, strategic pivots, and data-driven insights shaping the roadmap.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of product documentation, including user guides, technical specifications, and release communications, ensuring clarity and consistency.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
