Principal Product Manager, Third-Party Inventory – End-to-End Traveler Experience
Introduction to the Team
The Product Team creates high-quality end-to-end experiences for travelers, partners, and Expedia Group. Our customer-first mindset focuses on developing products that encourage loyalty and repeat business from our travelers and partners. We partner closely with teams across Expedia Group to achieve growth and results for our customers and company.
Third-party inventory expands the breadth, depth, and competitiveness of our global accommodation marketplace. In this role, you will shape the end-to-end traveler experience for third-party inventory, ensuring it is trustworthy, consistent, and seamless across discovery, booking, payments, cancellations, modifications, and post-booking service.
In This Role, You Will
- Define the long-term experience vision, product principles, and strategic roadmap for third-party inventory.
- Establish experience standards that promote traveler trust, consistency, quality, and customer lifetime value.
- Influence strategy beyond your immediate team by aligning Product, Engineering, Supply, Partnerships, Commercial, Operations, Customer Service, Data Science, Design, and senior leadership.
- Translate complex traveler and business needs into clear product requirements, user stories, success metrics, and decision frameworks.
- Create clarity in complex, cross-functional decision spaces through concise narratives, data, and artifacts.
- Use experimentation, analytics, and A/B testing to prioritize opportunities, evaluate impact, and guide trade-off decisions across platforms and customer journeys.
- Identify risks, connect key stakeholders, and facilitate critical decisions across the organization.
- Incorporate AI-driven systems, tools, and workflows where they create measurable business and traveler value, while supporting safe and responsible adoption.
- Apply competitive and marketplace insights to shape differentiated product strategies and improve traveler outcomes.

Required
Experience and Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in digital product management, including ownership of consumer-facing products, customer journeys, or e-commerce experiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical, quantitative, or related field; or Equivalent related professional experience.
- Experience defining and executing product strategy and roadmaps in complex, cross-functional environments, with accountability for KPIs and experimentation outcomes.
- Experience partnering with Engineering, Design, Data Science, and Analytics teams on technically complex products, including web application architecture, APIs, data flows, and experimentation platforms.
- Familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows, including applying AI/ML concepts to products in measurable, safe, and standards-aligned ways.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and peer teams on cross-organizational priorities and trade-offs.
Preferred
- Experience owning complex consumer, marketplace, or platform products from strategy through execution and measurable outcomes.
- Understanding of marketplaces, travel, e-commerce, payments, supply platforms, or other transaction ecosystems.
- Experience working with third-party APIs, suppliers, partners, or distributed technology ecosystems.
- Customer-centric product judgment and the ability to translate technical constraints into simple experiences.
- Strong analytical and experimentation skills.
- Experience influencing senior executives and multiple Product and Engineering organizations.
- Ability to work effectively without direct authority in ambiguous, global, and matrixed environments.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
