You as part of tonies: Are you passionate about bringing interactive edutainment to kids across the world? We are looking for a Principal Product Manager - Ecommerce to lead the evolution of our global digital commerce platforms.
The Mission
Your mission is to own and evolve the global digital commerce platforms to enable scalable, performant, and business-aligned commerce experiences. You will act as the strategic anchor for the shopping experience, ensuring our platform investments align with global business priorities while balancing operational efficiency with scalability. Success is measured by delivering commercial growth, improving conversion rates, and optimizing platform efficiency, experimentation velocity, and stakeholder satisfaction.

Your tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Strategic Direction & Platform Ownership
- Lead the Vision: Define and drive the strategy and roadmap for our global e-commerce platforms, ensuring a unified shopping experience across all markets.
- Architecture Governance: Partner closely with Engineering to govern architecture decisions during and post-migration, ensuring a robust foundation for 2026+.
- Vendor Management: Own strategic relationships and manage software vendors and tools used across the platform (e.g., payment processing, CMS) to maximize value and performance.
- Business Alignment: Align platform investments with global and local business priorities, driving cross-functional coordination with Engineering, Operations, and Commercial teams.
- Execution & Operational Excellence
- Drive Execution: Own the execution of key initiatives within a cross-functional team, continuously prioritizing opportunities to maintain a competitive roadmap.
- Global Consistency: Ensure 100% parity of core shopping flows (product pages, checkout) across major regions and drive cross-market consistency.
- Continuous Discovery: Drive continuous discovery for future evolutions, validating new concepts with a "customer-centric" approach.
- Mentorship: Act as a senior mentor to Product Managers (e.g., Checkout, Landing & Merch), fostering a culture of product excellence, innovation, and collaboration

- Visionary & Experienced: You have at least 7+ years of product management experience in e-commerce, with a track record of leading complex platform strategies.
- Technical Fluency: You are fluent in e-commerce and marketing technology (Shopify, Commercetools, etc.) and can confidently own the technology stack.
- Strategic & Operational: You can balance rapid growth across markets with improving the existing 'glocal' experience.
- Data-Driven: You love data and use it to evangelize quality insights, defining success metrics that drive fast build-and-learn cycles.
- Leadership: You are a clear communicator with high empathy. You have already mentored or led a team and have the ambition to lead teams in the future.
