We’re looking for a Principal Product Manager to join our Mainframe Agentics team, leading the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for agentic AI capabilities within BMC's AMI portfolio.
In this role, you'll be responsible for defining and delivering AI-powered agents that improve mainframe operations, observability, automation, incident resolution, performance optimization, and developer productivity. You will collaborate closely with Engineering, UX, Customer Success, Support, Sales, and Partners, to identify customer problems, prioritize investments, and bring innovative AI-driven solutions to market.

Key Responsibilities Include
- Define and own the Mainframe Agentics product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
- Drive commercialization of AI and autonomous agent capabilities across the AMI portfolio.
- Partner with customers and industry leaders to validate use cases and product direction.
- Develop business cases, pricing strategies, and go-to-market plans for new capabilities.
- Lead cross-functional teams through product discovery, development, launch, and adoption.
- Establish success metrics and monitor customer adoption, retention, and business impact.
- Represent the product strategy to executive leadership, customers, analysts, and partners.

Requirements
- 10+ years of Product Management experience in SaaS enterprise software environments.
- Deep understanding of AI, Generative AI, Agentic AI, and autonomous systems.
- Experience with observability, automation, AIOps, or IT operations platforms.
- Strong knowledge of mainframe operations, systems management, or enterprise infrastructure.
- Data-driven decision making and product analytics expertise.
- Experience defining platform APIs, integrations, and ecosystem strategies.
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive complex, cross-functional initiatives from concept to launch.

The annual base salary range represents the low and high end of the BMC salary range for this position. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
The range listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.
At BMC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at /near the top of the range. A reasonable estimate of the current range is £ 84,825 - £ 141,375
