Principal Product Manager - Simple Trading

Location: United Kingdom

This is a senior product leadership role focused on optimizing and growing simple, accessible trading experiences for retail customers across Europe.

You will act as a product expert for European markets, identifying local customer needs, behavioral differences, and opportunities for growth.

The role spans the full customer journey, from onboarding and funding through first purchase, repeat investment, portfolio management, and retention.

You will simplify complex financial and crypto concepts into intuitive experiences designed for mainstream and first-time users.

Working closely with design, engineering, data, compliance, operations, marketing, and local teams, you will turn insights into measurable product improvements.

You will also shape market-specific strategies around payments, recurring investment, savings, engagement, and lifecycle growth.

The role offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to influence product direction across multiple European markets without direct people-management responsibilities.

Accountabilities

  • Own the optimization and evolution of simple trading products across key European markets, identifying customer needs, product gaps, and opportunities across onboarding, fiat funding, buying, selling, swapping, portfolio management, savings, investments, spending, and withdrawals.
  • Adapt product journeys to local payment methods, customer behaviors, investment habits, market practices, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Simplify complex crypto and financial concepts for first-time and low-frequency retail customers, improving order entry, quote presentation, pricing transparency, portfolio visibility, P&L, transaction history, and asset discovery.
  • Ensure consistent and intuitive experiences across web and mobile while accounting for meaningful differences between European markets.
  • Own the local product funnel across onboarding, funding, activation, first purchase, repeat purchase, retention, and reactivation, using data and experimentation to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop engagement and investment features such as recurring purchases, auto-invest, savings plans, price alerts, asset collections, and other mechanisms supporting long-term customer relationships.
  • Partner with growth and marketing teams on market-specific acquisition, activation, engagement, and lifecycle initiatives.
  • Monitor product performance and use customer feedback, funnel analysis, experimentation, competitive research, and market-level data to guide priorities.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of European retail finance, digital banking, brokerage, payments, savings, and investment products, using relevant market benchmarks to inform product decisions.
  • Collaborate with design, engineering, data, compliance, operations, marketing, and local market teams to deliver product improvements and influence priorities through strong product judgment and market insight.
  • Identify opportunities independently, define solutions, and drive cross-functional execution from discovery through delivery and measurement.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
