Principal Product Manager (Data)

A leading digital consultancy is looking for an experienced Principal Product Manager (Data) to help shape the future of data products across major transformation programmes.

This is a senior consulting role where you'll work directly with executive stakeholders, influence organisational strategy and lead the delivery of large-scale data products and platforms across public and private sector clients.

You'll play a key role in growing both client capability and the consultancy's internal Product practice, combining strategic product leadership with deep expertise in data-driven delivery.

The Role

As a Principal Product Manager, you'll provide strategic leadership across complex client engagements while supporting business growth and mentoring the wider Product community.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading product strategy for enterprise data products and platforms
  • Defining product vision, investment priorities and long-term roadmaps
  • Advising senior stakeholders on product and technology decisions
  • Leading product discovery and delivery
  • Working alongside Data Engineers, Architects and Analysts
  • Embedding data governance and quality throughout delivery
  • Supporting bids, proposals and client growth opportunities
  • Coaching, mentoring and line managing Product Managers
  • Helping define best practice and grow the Product capability across the business.

About You

You'll be an experienced Product leader with a strong consultancy background and proven success delivering complex data-focused products.

You'll bring experience in:

  • Leading data products, platforms or services
  • Product strategy, roadmaps and portfolio prioritisation
  • Data Engineering collaboration
  • Modern data platforms and data warehouses
  • Data architecture and modelling
  • Executive stakeholder engagement
  • OKRs, KPIs and product performance measurement
  • Leading multidisciplinary delivery teams
  • Data governance and quality frameworks
  • Coaching and mentoring Product Managers
  • Consultancy or client-facing environments
  • Cloud platforms including AWS, Azure or Google Cloud (desirable)
  • AI, Machine Learning or advanced analytics products (desirable)
  • Government or regulated sectors (desirable).
