Principal Product Marketing Manager
iManage

About the Role
Being a Principal Product Marketing Manager at iManage means owning product messaging and positioning for cutting-edge AI-driven platform capabilities in the iManage portfolio. Your mission is to clearly articulate value, differentiation, and the practical impact of AI tools—from search to knowledge discovery—ensuring iManage stands out in the market.
You will partner intimately with Product and Engineering teams, translating complex technical functionalities into compelling narratives. These narratives will empower Marketing, Sales, Sales Enablement, and Customer Success to drive launch readiness, training, and cohesive messaging—all the way to internal collaboration and external customer communication.
Duties & Responsibilities
Messaging & Positioning
- Develop differentiated messaging and positioning for iManage’s AI-driven features, including search, answers retrieval, and knowledge discovery.
- Craft value propositions that resonate with customers and partners, leveraging input from market and competitive intelligence.
- Continuously refine messaging frameworks to align with evolving platform capabilities and market dynamics.
Go-To-Market (GTM) Enablement
- Partner with Product Management across the release lifecycle, ensuring clarity in value articulation and market readiness.
- Serve as SME (Subject Matter Expert) to guide training, collateral, demo development, and competitive positioning.
- Align Marketing, Sales, Sales Enablement, and Customer Success on AI capability introductions, ensuring consistent communication.
- Apply and refine existing GTM frameworks for an organized, systematic approach.
Thought Leadership
- Lead thought leadership development, customer stories, and external content, ensuring narratives align with real capabilities.
- Present at in-person events and webinars, positioning iManage’s AI advancements.
- Maintain narrative consistency that reflects iManage’s platform and AI strategy.
Market & Competitive Analysis
- Monitor innovations in LegalTech AI, including retrieval, agentic workflows, and generative AI applications, translating trends into positioning recommendations.
- Provide strategic insights to Product Management to guide prioritization and product direction.
- Contribute to Market Competitive Intelligence (CI) and Customer Insights initiatives, offering AI expertise and strategic guidance.

Customer & Analyst Relations
- Collaborate with Customer Advocacy and Analyst Relations to amplify AI portfolio recognition in analyst reports and industry discussions.
- Engage with customers to identify and validate use cases, gathering insights and strengthening positioning.
- Support customer storytelling by providing AI-driven proof points and contextual expertise.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in product marketing, technical marketing, or related roles.
- Ability to partner effectively with Product and Engineering teams, translating technical concepts into market-ready messaging.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Sales, Sales Enablement, and Customer Success for launches and market enablement.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an aptitude for audience adaptation.
- Comfort in fast-moving, evolving environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within the LegalTech or AI ecosystem, especially familiarity with enterprise SaaS platforms, search, or AI amplification tools.
- Understanding of legal document workflows (e.g., drafting, review, matter management) and how AI streamlines them (discovery, knowledge-based processes).
- Prior experience with commerce, media, or innovative software platforms, aligning advanced technologies into customer-facing value.
