What You’ll Do
Lead a multi-disciplinary team to deliver the engineering development
Balance the competing demands and requirements, assessing customer requirements, and prioritizing workload as required
Plan, co-ordinate and present at design reviews
Provide technical interface with supporting functions e.g. manufacturing
Support customer, partner and strategic supplier meetings
Author key project documents, including Engineering Development Plans, and Declarations of Performance
Regularly present project status to the Project Engineering Team Leader and Head of Engineering
Maintain awareness of PCS products within the competitive landscape
Qualifications
- Degree educated in an engineering or science discipline
- Significant experience within one of the following disciplines: project lead, systems, software or electronics engineering
- Broad understanding of electronics, software, systems and mechanical disciplines
- Experience of designing and testing to military and/or civil aerospace environmental standards
- Experience of safety critical solution development in accordance with DO-178/DO-254 and ARP4754
- Extensive experience of leading complex projects with substantial software, electronics and systems engineering elements
- Background in Defence or Aerospace industries
- Experience of relevant UK Land vehicle Defence Standards such as DEF STAN 59-411, DEF STAN 61-05, DEF STAN 00-35
- Previous involvement in SOI audits and certification reviews
- Experience in Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) - Enterprise Architect or Rhapsody
- Experience of DOORS Requirements Management tool
