Your Impact
Supporting the continued growth of our Glasgow team, this newly created opportunity offers the chance to play a key role in shaping and delivering some of the UK's most complex and high-profile Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) programmes.
Working alongside industry-leading clients and multidisciplinary project teams, you will contribute to the successful delivery of major programmes across our core sectors, including:
- Large-scale Transportation programmes, including Rail, Metro, Airport, and Highways
- Nationally significant Defence infrastructure projects
- Clean Energy and Renewable Power development
- Strategic Water infrastructure programmes
- Science and Technology estates
- Opportunity to support wider UK, Ireland, and International Flagship programmes
As an experienced Quantity Surveyor, you will bring demonstrable industry expertise, strong commercial acumen, and established stakeholder management capabilities. Combining your sound commercial judgement with excellent communication skills, you will build trusted, collaborative relationships with clients, contractors, and project teams, helping to drive successful project outcomes from inception through to completion.
Your remit will include:
- Provide commercial and contractual support throughout the full project lifecycle.
- Passion for delivering value through cost engineering and commercial insight.
- Deliver cost planning, estimating, and benchmarking activities.
- Lead procurement activities, tender governance, and commercial assessment.
- Drive robust cost management, value optimization, and commercial governance processes.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks and opportunities.
- Manage early warning procedures, change control processes, and corrective action plans.
- Prepare and present accurate financial reporting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
- Foster a collaborative, partnership-based culture with clients, project stakeholders, and wider supply chain.
- Support, mentor, and develop colleagues and peers, contributing to the growth and capability of the wider team.

- MRICS Chartered status or actively working towards it.
- Demonstrable experience of managing end-to-end procurement aligned to NEC principles.
- Robust understanding of commercial management, procurement, and contract administration.
- Comfortable engaging and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.
- Sound cost, risk, change, and project performance management experience.
- A passion for continuous learning and supporting the development of others.
- Proficient with CostX or equivalent measurement/estimating tools.
