We are seeking to appoint a motivated and knowledgeable individual to take a lead role in improving housing standards and protecting tenants through the effective implementation of the Renters’ Rights Act and wider housing legislation.

The role includes delivering licensing functions, monitoring compliance with housing and landlord laws, conducting housing standards assessments, investigating breaches and offences of housing laws and applying appropriate sanctions for non-compliance.

You will lead a team of Environmental Health Officers and Regulatory Compliance Officers and work alongside other Principal Officers and service managers to deliver wider Public Protection functions and corporate responsibilities.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have considerable knowledge and experience working in social or private sector housing and have proven skills, experience and qualifications in management and leadership.
