Key Notes
Significant technical-safety and systems-assurance experience is essential for this UK rail leadership role. You’ll drive RAMS plans, safety cases, analyses and approvals across ETCS, tramway and HS2 work while leading assurance engineers and supporting bids. What You'll Work On
- Lead RAMS and system-assurance delivery across mainline and light-rail projects, products and services through the full project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain safety cases, RAMS management plans, analyses and assurance approvals that meet legislation, standards and customer requirements.
- Lead, coach and develop RAMS and assurance professionals and contribute to recruitment, succession and functional capability planning.
- Define RAMS strategies, resources and delivery plans for bids and represent Hitachi Rail with customers, partners and regulatory stakeholders.

What They Are Looking For
Technical:
- Applicants need significant experience in technical safety and systems assurance within rail or another safety-critical industry.
Stakeholder:
- Applicants need proven leadership of technical teams and multidisciplinary stakeholders across complex project delivery.
Preferred:
- Experience with UK mainline signalling, control, communications or information systems is desirable, as is interoperable railway project delivery.
Stakeholder:
- Applicants need strong commercial awareness, stakeholder influence and analytical decision-making with the ability to manage competing priorities.
