Principal Recruitment Consultant

Location: Bishop's Stortford (Hybrid 3:2)

The Opportunity

Allerton Bishop is a specialist executive search and interim recruitment consultancy partnering with pharmaceutical, biotech, CDMO, and consumer healthcare organizations across the UK and Europe.

We are looking for an experienced Principal Recruitment Consultant to play a key role in the continued growth of our European practice. This is an opportunity to join an experienced team at an early stage of the company's growth, work directly alongside the Founder, and have a genuine influence on the future direction of the business.

If you're looking to move away from corporate bureaucracy, London commuting, and internal politics, and instead focus on building relationships, developing your market, and delivering exceptional client solutions, we would like to speak with you.

The Role

As a Principal Recruitment Consultant, you'll take ownership of a specialist market, developing long-term relationships with senior clients and candidates across permanent recruitment and retained executive search.

This is a senior, autonomous position for an established recruiter who wants to build something of their own within a growing specialist consultancy. You'll be responsible for developing your market, winning and delivering assignments, and building trusted relationships with clients across the UK and Europe.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
