Principal Recruitment Consultant
£45,000–£50,000 basic | Uncapped commission | Genuine £100,000+ earning potential
Altura is entering an exciting next chapter.
We're a boutique but hugely ambitious executive search business, with two new hires joining us in November and significant growth plans for where we want to take the business over the next five years.
We're not interested in growing for the sake of it. We want to build the business around exceptional recruiters who join us early enough to play a genuine part in shaping what Altura becomes – and benefit from the growth they help create.
In less than five years, we've made close to 400 placements and built relationships with 150+ property and construction consultancies, operating in specialist markets with genuine, long-running skills shortages.
We're now looking for a Principal Recruitment Consultant to take ownership of one of the core markets the business was built on.
What we're looking for:
- A proven track record of successfully running a 360 desk within a genuinely candidate-led market
- You don't necessarily need experience in our sector – we're far more interested in whether you understand how to build a market where the best candidates are difficult to find, relationships matter, and opportunities are often created rather than simply advertised
- Strong candidate generation and business development skills, with the ability to take genuine ownership of a specialist market
- Someone looking for more than their next recruitment job, who wants to play a meaningful role in building a business over the longer term

What you'd be doing:
- Taking ownership of an established 360 desk within one of Altura's core markets
- Inheriting existing client relationships, candidate networks and historic market knowledge, with the autonomy to develop the desk in your own way
- Managing the full recruitment process end-to-end and growing the market as if it were your own business within Altura
With that autonomy comes accountability – but also significant financial upside.
Where it can go:
This isn't intended to be a role where you remain a Principal Consultant indefinitely.
You'll have a tailored roadmap towards Associate Director and Director, with the opportunity to take on greater responsibility as Altura grows.
Our leadership team have collectively billed £5m+ during their recruitment careers and still run 360 desks themselves. You'll work directly alongside them rather than being several layers removed from the people running the business.

In return:
- £45,000–£50,000 basic, dependent on experience
- Uncapped commission with genuine £100,000+ earning potential
