The Opportunity

The SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) Architect is a senior solution and process authority responsible for the global design, governance, implementation, and continuous improvement of SAP EWM and related supply chain execution solutions.

This role combines deep warehouse operations expertise, strong SAP EWM solution architecture knowledge, and disciplined program governance to ensure business requirements are translated into scalable, standardised, and sustainable warehouse solutions aligned to the global template strategy.

The role will act as the primary design authority for warehouse management processes, leading fit-to-standard discussions, governing solution decisions, managing systems integrators, and ensuring that warehouse operations are supported through industry-leading processes and technologies. The role will bridge business operations and technology, providing both strategic direction and hands-on leadership through transformation programmes and operational support activities.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Lead the end-to-end design and architecture of SAP EWM solutions aligned to SAP S/4HANA best practices and enterprise architecture standards.
  • Act as the global design authority for warehouse management processes including inbound logistics, outbound logistics, inventory management, internal warehouse movements and physical inventory.
  • Drive fit-to-standard principles, minimising customisation and maximising adoption of SAP standard functionality.
  • Define and govern global versus local warehouse process requirements to ensure scalable multi-country deployments.
  • Provide architectural leadership across warehouse automation, material handling equipment (MHE), robotics, RF solutions, barcode technologies and external logistics platforms.
  • Challenge business stakeholders on legacy processes, operational inefficiencies and non-standard solution requests.
  • Drive process harmonisation and warehouse standardisation across manufacturing, distribution and fulfilment networks.
  • Ensure warehouse solutions support operational performance, customer service objectives, inventory accuracy and compliance requirements.
  • Lead solution design workshops and facilitate decision-making across global and regional stakeholder groups.
  • Together with our S/I partners, translate business requirements into scalable S/4HANA functional and technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with IT and architecture teams to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and seamless integration with adjacent applications (e.g. SAP ECC, S/4HANA, Metapack, Exotec, Blue Yonder).

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
