Principal Scientist - Hepatocyte Cell Specialist
You are an experienced cell biologist with expertise in primary cells, gene editing, and translational research. You enjoy taking ownership of complex scientific projects and generating the data that moves innovative therapeutics closer to patients. You want to work in a highly collaborative biotech environment where your science directly influences programme direction, company strategy, and future growth.
We are partnering with an early-stage biotechnology company developing a first-in-class, non-CRISPR gene editing platform designed specifically for in vivo therapeutic applications. Having recently secured significant funding and identified its lead disease indication, the business is entering a critical phase focused on generating proof-of-concept data ahead of major future milestones.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
