Principal Scientist – Immunoassay

Ready to lead the future of bioanalytical innovation? Join us as a Principal Scientist in Immunoassay, where your expertise can drive groundbreaking research in a dynamic, collaborative environment. Based in Cambridgeshire, this pivotal role offers the chance to shape the scientific landscape within a respected global CRO supporting cutting-edge pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical development.

In this role, you’ll oversee complex immunoassay projects, develop robust, regulatory-compliant methods, and mentor a team of talented scientists. Your scientific judgment and creativity will be essential as you lead method development strategies, troubleshoot across platforms, and contribute to our culture of continuous improvement and scientific excellence. Be the voice of innovation, collaborating with internal teams and presenting at industry conferences, all while making a meaningful impact on therapies that improve lives worldwide.

Requirements

  • Strong background in bioanalysis
  • Hands-on experience leading ligand-binding assay development, validation, and application for PK, biomarker, and immunogenicity studies
  • Degree in pharmaceutical sciences, biochemistry, chemistry, or biological sciences
  • Proven expertise within a GxP-regulated CRO environment
  • Expertise in global regulatory guidance and industry best practices for immunoassay validation
  • Track record of scientific leadership, mentoring, and collaborative problem-solving

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with creating new service lines or scientific IP
  • Additional experience in cross-departmental collaboration
  • Knowledge of bioanalytical platform selection aligned with sponsor and regulatory needs
