Role Description
The Principal, Senior, and Mechanical Services Engineer roles are full-time positions responsible for leading and delivering mechanical building services design across a range of projects. Day-to-day activities include:

- Developing and reviewing mechanical systems designs
- Preparing technical drawings and specifications
- Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams
- Ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations
- Overseeing inspections
- Supporting commissioning and maintenance strategies
- Providing technical guidance to project teams and clients

These roles involve:
- Contributing to sustainable design solutions
- Mentoring less experienced engineers
- Supporting project management activities such as reporting and client communication
The positions are based in the Belfast Metropolitan Area on a hybrid basis, combining office collaboration with some work-from-home flexibility.
Qualifications
- Strong Mechanical Engineering background with experience in building services design and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD & Revit) tools for creating, reviewing, and coordinating mechanical services drawings.
- Experience with Inspection and testing of mechanical installations, including quality assurance and compliance checks.
- Knowledge of Maintenance principles and strategies for mechanical building services and associated systems.
- Exposure to Automotive or related mechanical sectors is beneficial where transferable skills support project delivery.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline; professional registration (e.g., CEng or working towards it) is an advantage.
- Ability to lead projects, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and communicate clearly with clients and colleagues.
- Familiarity with sustainability principles, low-carbon building services design, and relevant UK and Irish building regulations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
