Role Overview
The Principal SEO / SEO Lead will own organic growth across the company’s brand websites, reporting directly to the Founder. This is a predominantly individual contributor role with substantial autonomy and responsibility for hands-on execution.
The role covers SEO and content strategy, technical performance, link-building strategy, and the commercial impact of organic search. AI and tooling will support efficient execution while maintaining content quality and brand standards.
Responsibilities
- Help shape the overall brand strategy and own the SEO and content strategy within it.
- Execute SEO initiatives and improve the content experience across the brand’s websites.
- Identify priority markets, keyword clusters, and audiences through detailed market and keyword research.
- Maintain strong technical foundations, including information architecture, internal linking, metadata, page speed, and crawlability.
- Own link-building strategy, including anchor selection, link velocity, and quality, with execution support.
- Analyse target SERPs and competitors, monitor rankings, and report performance.
- Work closely with Commercial to turn ranking gains into partnership opportunities.
- Connect SEO improvements to first-time deposits (FTDs) and product revenue.

What Success Looks Like
- Measurable growth in FTDs and revenue from organic search.
- Stronger, more stable rankings across priority GEOs and keyword clusters, including through algorithm updates.
- Excellent technical health, with issues identified and resolved before they affect traffic.
- Close collaboration with Commercial, turning ranking gains into commercial opportunities quickly.
- Clear, regular reporting that connects SEO activity to business results.
Requirements
- A senior SEO track record with measurable results in competitive, volatile search markets.
- Broad expertise across technical SEO, on-page optimization, SERP analysis, content, and link strategy.
- Recent hands-on experience with content, keyword research, outreach, and testing.
- Commercial judgement: understanding how organic traffic generates revenue and how to evaluate ROI beyond traffic and rankings.
- An autonomous, structured approach to prioritization, documentation, and execution.
- A disciplined approach to experimentation and responding to algorithm changes.
- Effective use of AI and tooling to increase productivity while preserving quality and brand standards.

- Salary indication of £100,000 / €115,000, with terms depending on the employment or contractor arrangement.
