Principal Tech Consultant
We’re looking for a Principal Tech Consultant to help shape and deliver some of our most ambitious client engagements.
This is a senior, hands-on technical consultancy role. You’ll work with clients to understand complex business and technology challenges, create clarity where the answer isn’t obvious, and shape pragmatic solutions that balance technical quality, user needs, commercial value, risk and speed.
You’ll often be involved from the earliest stages of an engagement: leading technical discovery, exploring opportunities, evaluating different approaches and helping turn an idea or problem into a clear technical direction. You’ll act as a trusted adviser to senior client stakeholders, constructively challenging assumptions and helping them make informed decisions about their products, platforms and technology strategy.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
You’ll remain close to delivery too. Depending on the engagement, that could mean defining architecture, prototyping an idea, writing critical parts of a system, reviewing code, resolving complex technical challenges or supporting a squad to make good technical decisions. The impact of the role goes beyond the code you personally write: you’ll create the conditions for others to deliver excellent work.
