Position Descriptor
The successful leader will establish and grow the New Northern Suburbs High School at Lot 104 Petherton Road, Eyre, designed to serve up to 1,300 students in Years 7 to 12. Commencing with Year 7 students in 2028 and expanding progressively to full capacity by 2033. This role offers a unique chance to create a school from the ground up and leave a legacy for generations of young people and families.
As the founding principal, you will lead the creation of a school where the community thrives, and where every young person is known, valued, and inspired to achieve. You will foster a strong culture of purpose, belonging, and aspiration, celebrating diversity, ensuring every student is empowered to realise their strength and potential.
- You will foster active, authentic learning and real-world challenge-based experiences that cultivate curiosity, creativity, and resilience.
- Under your leadership, students will be provided with meaningful opportunities to showcase their learning in public and collaborative ways, building confidence, agency, and the capacity to make a positive contribution to their community and beyond.

For the duration of the school establishment period (2027) and enrolment ramp up (2028-2034) the remuneration of the successful applicant will be equivalent to Site Classification Level 5.
Please note that part-time and flexible arrangements will be considered.
