Are you a Chartered Structural Engineer looking to take the lead on a diverse range of projects from heritage buildings through to complex data centres? Our client is a well-established Civil and Structural Engineering consultancy who have built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality engineering solutions across a diverse range of sectors including heritage, residential, commercial, and data centre developments. Due to continued project wins and sustained growth, they are looking to appoint a Chartered Principal Structural Engineer to strengthen their team.

With a healthy pipeline of work and ambitious growth plans, this newly created position offers the opportunity to take ownership of projects, support the development of junior engineers, and contribute to the continued success of the business.

This is an ideal opportunity for a Chartered Principal Structural Engineer with a consultancy background who enjoys working across a diverse project portfolio and wants to play a leading role within a growing and ambitious engineering consultancy.

We Are Looking For A Chartered Principal Structural Engineer Who:

  • Is a Chartered Structural Engineer (MIStructE or MICE);
  • Has experience working within a structural engineering consultancy environment;
  • Has strong experience with a varied range of project exposure;
  • Is proficient in the use of Tekla Structural Designer and ETABS;
  • Can manage projects and liaise confidently with clients and stakeholders;
  • Has experience mentoring and developing junior engineers;
  • Demonstrates strong technical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Lead the structural design and delivery of projects across a varied portfolio;
  • Produce and review structural calculations, reports, and technical documentation;
  • Utilise Tekla Structural Designer and ETABS to develop engineering solutions;
  • Work closely with clients, architects, contractors, and fellow consultants;
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of heritage, commercial, residential, and data centre schemes;
  • Support junior engineers and help develop technical capability within the team;
  • Play a key role in maintaining high engineering standards across the business;
  • Support the company's continued growth through the delivery of quality engineering solutions.

Package

  • Salary £65,000 - £80,000 depending on experience;
  • Hybrid working arrangement with 4 days in the office and 1 day working from home;
  • Exposure to heritage, commercial, residential, and data centre projects;
  • Long-term career progression within an expanding business.
