General Summary:
We are searching for a Principal level Systems Architect to help lead Qualcomm in the development of 4G LTE & 5G modems to address the IoT market. Working within a dynamic design team you will participate in the development of next generation 4G LTE & 5G chipsets in the IoT wireless space.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the modem architecture, providing specifications, analysis, and main design choices, thanks to interaction with the teams of algorithm development, HW design, DSP/embedded SW design, and platform integration.
- Contribute to the definition and application of a mature process to guarantee the delivery of solutions as per global Qualcomm quality policy throughout the various teams.
- Ensure that the technical definition of the modem will meet the product definition as set by strategy and marketing teams.
PROFILE:
- At least 15 years of experience in a similar position.
- Track record of successful design of ASIC and SoC.
- Good technical knowledge in DSP/HW/RF/ASIC design.
- Strong expertise in chip architecture and dimensioning, RF/HW/SW partitioning, tradeoff management, low power design.
- Strong experience in working with various teams, including cross-cultural and offshore teams.
- Efficiency, commitment, leadership, and charisma, customer-driven, autonomy, and ability to interact at all levels within the company.
- Experience in wireless systems, ideally in 4G/5G.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Engineering degree in a relevant discipline. BSc, MSc, or equivalent.
- Simulation tools such as VSS, SystemVue, MatLab.
- 4G/5G 3GPP Standards and requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 8+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
- OR
- Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 7+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
- OR
- PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field and 6+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience. *References to a particular number of years experience are for indicative purposes only.
