Principal Tanium Security Consultant
Location: Remote with occasional travel to customer sites across the UK
Contract: Initial 3 months
Rate: Up to £136.68 per hour Umbrella. We are open to market rates for the right candidate.
We are looking for an experienced Principal Tanium Security Consultant to join a high profile cyber security programme. This is a hands-on delivery role for someone who has extensive experience implementing, configuring and optimising the Tanium platform across complex enterprise environments.
You will lead technical workstreams, engage directly with customers and take ownership of projects from design through to implementation and handover.
What you'll be doing
- Designing, deploying and optimising Tanium Cloud and on-premises environments
- Leading endpoint onboarding, platform configuration and optimisation
- Delivering patch management, software deployment and endpoint management solutions
- Supporting migrations from SCCM, Microsoft Configuration Manager, Ivanti DSM, ManageEngine Endpoint Central and similar platforms
- Configuring Tanium modules including Asset, Discover, Patch, Deploy, Comply, Risk, Enforce, Performance, Provision, Investigate, Reporting and Connect
- Designing RBAC models, endpoint targeting and secure deployment processes
- Integrating Tanium with technologies including ServiceNow, CMDB, identity providers and security platforms
- Producing technical documentation, implementation plans and operational handover documents
- Leading workshops, advising stakeholders and mentoring technical teams
- Troubleshooting complex enterprise endpoint and infrastructure issues

What we're looking for
- Extensive hands-on experience delivering Tanium solutions within large enterprise environments
- Strong knowledge of endpoint management and cyber security
- Experience across multiple Tanium modules
- Strong Windows endpoint administration knowledge
- Experience deploying Tanium across Windows and Linux estates
- Experience with enterprise patch management and software deployment
- Strong troubleshooting skills covering networking, certificates, proxies, firewalls and endpoint communications
- Experience producing technical designs and customer documentation
- Ability to lead customer workshops and technical discussions
- Active SC Clearance

Certifications
Ideally you will hold current Tanium certifications, including:
- Tanium Certified Operator (TCO)
- Tanium Certified Specialist, Cloud Deployment (TCSCD)
Additional certifications such as Tanium Certified Administrator (TCA) would be highly beneficial.
