If so, the Shetland Islands Council is offering an exciting opportunity to work at excellently resourced Happyhansel Primary School, Walls.

Happyhansel Primary School is a non-denominational school located in Walls providing nursery to P7 education to Walls and the surrounding area. Happyhansel is a one teacher school with twelve primary pupils currently and a nursery class attached. The school is managed by a Joint Head Teacher, Mrs Elizabeth Garrick who also manages Sandness Primary. A morning of PT admin time is provided by a second teacher and the class are supported by a Learning Support Assistant and Learning Support Worker.
Qualifications and Experience

Job Details
- Grade: Principal Teacher - Job Size 1
- Salary: Inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance of £2,997 per annum (pro rata)
- Hours: Permanent Full Time post for 35.0 Hours per Week
- Requirements:
- Join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update prior to a formal offer of employment being made
- Must be registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) prior to starting in post
- No relocation package
- Interview expenses paid from within Shetland
- Flexible working considered
- FTE of Post: 1.0
- Class Information: P1-7

- Qualification Requirement: Teaching Qualification, BEd, PGCE (Primary)
