Lighthouse Games

Lighthouse Games is a AAA studio in Leamington Spa, defined by our pedigree of talent and serious ambition to build a new best-in-class game. When you join us at Lighthouse, you will create the best work of your career within a collaborative, hybrid working environment. You'll learn from the best and work alongside the future greats of the gaming industry.

As a Principal Vehicle Technical Artist

You will play a leading role in defining the technical vision, systems and workflows that support the creation of our in-game vehicles. Acting as a key bridge between art and engineering, you will identify complex challenges, establish scalable solutions and ensure our Vehicle Art team can deliver industry-leading quality efficiently and consistently.

You will take ownership of the most significant technical challenges across the vehicle pipeline, moving the team away from manual, asset-by-asset fixes towards robust, system-driven solutions. Through technical leadership, collaboration and mentorship, you will raise the capability of the wider team and help establish a vehicle production pipeline that sets a new benchmark for the industry.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience as a Technical Artist within game development, including experience operating at a Principal, Lead or equivalent level.
  • Deep understanding of vehicle content, production pipelines and the technical challenges involved in creating high-quality real-time vehicles.
  • Proven ability to design and implement scalable tools, systems and workflows that deliver measurable improvements across an entire production team.
  • Expert knowledge of real-time engines, ideally Unreal Engine, alongside a strong understanding of content creation, integration, optimisation and rendering pipelines.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to define technical strategy and influence artists, engineers and project leadership.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
