Lead technical discovery, architecture, and end-to-end delivery of healthcare software built on the Aidbox FHIR platform.

Salary

$135,000 – $140,000 per year.


Travel

15% + 5%

15% domestic, 5% international.

Scope of the role

  • Design scalable healthcare IT architectures on the Aidbox FHIR platform.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and oversee end-to-end project delivery.
  • Direct implementation of FHIR, HL7 v.2, and C-CDA; ensure HIPAA / HITECH compliance.

Role

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Drive technical discovery sessions with healthcare organizations to identify modernization opportunities and define comprehensive solution requirements.
  • Translate complex product requirements and clinical workflows into detailed technical specifications and system architecture designs.
  • Design scalable healthcare IT architectures utilizing the Aidbox FHIR platform, ensuring strict compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Create comprehensive technical documentation, including system design specifications, integration approaches, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Plan, estimate, and communicate project timelines, milestones, and status updates to stakeholders and organizational leadership.
  • Coordinate workloads and priorities across multiple development teams to ensure the timely delivery of healthcare software products.
  • Lead cross-functional development teams and provide technical guidance to ensure project objectives are met according to the defined scope.
  • Mentor junior technical staff and conduct code reviews to maintain quality control and project standards.
  • Monitor systems performance, scalability, and optimization throughout the project lifecycle to ensure robust delivery.
  • Oversee the end-to-end project delivery process, ensuring high-quality solutions that meet specific client requirements and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical solutions with broader business objectives and specific healthcare workflows.
  • Identify and integrate new technologies and tools into the development process to improve project efficiency and output.
  • Direct the implementation of healthcare interoperability standards such as FHIR, HL7 v.2, and C-CDA within project deliverables.
  • Ensure all delivered solutions and project processes adhere to healthcare security and compliance rules, including HIPAA and HITECH.
  • Participate in HL7 FHIR working groups, meetings, and connectathons to stay aligned with evolving industry regulations and trends.
  • Perform targeted code development for software features and applications to bridge technical gaps and ensure project success.
  • Supervise Software Engineers, Graphic Designers, QA engineers, SCRUM Masters, Data Scientists, and Project Managers.

Education Requirements

Degree

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field.

Background

  • Five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer or a related occupation.
